I love exploring painting effects and this one is sure to please! In this lesson, we’ll create luminous effects in acrylic paint by painting stars and galaxies to create a cool outer space scene. Follow along and create your own painting! Join me, Gigi Chen, and fellow artists from around the world as we embark on this acrylic painting adventure together.

Outer space can feel infinite. For this class, we will explore how to create atmosphere with various brush techniques and layering colors to create sparkle and luminosity.

  1. Thank you Gigi, I am enjoying your class and you came at a great time for me. I’ve been painting for the past 10 years, starting with watercolors and tried oils, but doing acrylic for the past 5-6 years and realized I am an intuitive artist. So much of what you say resonates with me , I’m thinking you also are an intuitive artist ?. You are doing a great job teaching, and I admire your courage. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m “too comfortable “ in my painting practice and felt incredibly stuck and alone dealing with it. You and your class has sparked some joy back for me, thank you! Btw – I’ve gone skydiving 3 times, and by myself! (Not tandem where you’re attached to a jumpmaster. ) perhaps Rules regarding that in Wisconsin maybe are different for that than NY as far as skydiving? Anyways, I wanted to share that. Thanks again, attached is my painting ?‍?
