I am a beginner in pastels, but Debora is such an excellent instructor. She is so generous with her knowledge and explains everything in detail.
Dont know how to thank her for being so conscientious with her knowledge. Excellent Tutorial ...

I love her work but she is very slow so I speed up the video.
I also think she teaches a bit like she is speaking to a child, a bit off-putting for me.

I do not do pastels at this point, but I love the finished paintings I have seen of Deborah's work. I was surprised at the end of the video when she pointed out that what she had done in pastel could be done with acrylic, and I wish she had said that at the beginning, as I would have watched with completely different eyes. I wish I could see her do similar abstract work with acrylics.

Pastel is fairly new medioum for me but painting the abstract is something I have done before so I was intrigued by doing it in pastel. I'm on the lookout for interesting ideas and this lesson is just IT.
I love painting abstract and was attracted to an option to do it in pastel.
I loved the exercises of 4 variations in different colors, drawing loosely the subject and using acrylic as a underpainting.
It was interesting to learn about new medium of Acrylic that I haven't heard about before.
So lots of new and exciting information and I'm looking forward doing this project.
Thank you very much, Ms. Stuart, for a wonderful lesson. I will be looking for more of them.

I liked how Debora broke down her various creative stages and for me the BLIND drawing was key to leaving out the details and just go with the flow...very helpful advice in every step...awesome!
