I enjoy drawing the human face. Its very rewarding when you get it right This a study of an old blokes features. It is taken from photo reference.
Wonderful drawing. Great nose and mustache!
This was quite a challenge! I think my biggest challenge was getting the rays to flow straight away from the sun spot. That wasn’t really addressed and I saw the problem toward the end of my drawing.
Love it. the gist of the sun creeping or hiding behind the cloud. A very enjoyable drawing to look at.
Wow, I have only now found this community gallery for Artist’s Network! I’m so excited to have the opportunity to share my work and to see the work of others.
Just played with Lee Hammond’s Crayon tutorial. What a blast from the past. LOVE the smell of crayons!
This is great!
I’m slowing working my way through your new book. The lessons reinforce the all drawing tips you bring up in each episode. I’m looking forward to finishing the exercises in your book, and then a doing some of the episodes I missed here, to practice what I’ve learned!
I Scaled up to 14×17 from my normal 8.5×11, It added some challenges but It was good to do.
This is great!
SCOTT! My copy of SEE THINK DRAW was delivered yesterday! Love it!
This warms my heart:) Thank you!
I can’t say what this has meant. I have a notebook for these drawings to remember time we all spent together learning and hopefully making something beautiful during stressful times.
Early in the Drawing Together series the subject matter–eggs, berries, lemons and bread—didn’t intimidate. Starting simply, you took us on a drawing journey. Including people—young and old– flowers and pets with my favorite-Alpaca-lips! And someone taught us about Ossicones! Who knew? We went places together. We crossed mountains and streams. Traveled when travel wasn’t possible. I learned angle sighting, made of mess of things, and stopped drawing with contour lines. I went with you on a drawing journey which I would not have had the courage to go on without your kind, generous and knowledgeable instruction. I loved learning to draw with you. We needed to draw more with pens, and you gave us too much. Next time around, expect more from us. We can deliver an image or two. Show us how to compose, frame and crop selections then continue to bless us with your coaching style. Drawing Together was an unforgettable experience. I look forward to your book being delivered. For the foreseeable future, I will repeat archived shows. With much gratitude –until we meet again.
This is beautiful, Joan. Thank you for your words and helping make such a wonderful community of artists!
Well said, I feel the same.
I’m a bit behind, but will be trying the master copy. Love portraits! Thank you, Scott! Keep ’em coming!
Thank you, Brenda!
Scott, thank you so much for sharing your time and using your amazing teaching skills to take us through your tutorials. I learned so much, and it was just luck that I found the website one day last year. Enjoy your break!
You’re very welcome! I’m grateful that you joined us!
Not the same subject but this a cloud study I recently completed. I will greatly miss Drawing Together and Scott’s teachings. I hope Drawing together will be back one day. Thank you, Scott.
